It is all about the mindset. The way you think. So far, I have been doing good for my own terms, but something is still off, and I am still not where I want to be life-wise.
Trade-off between finance and time
All of us hussle something, be it our skills, products, lies or feel good vibes, we are bound to do something in order to accomplish our goals.
Big part of our life is sales, one way or another, we always need to represent ourselves as the best choice to solve the issues that come with the territory. If you don’t immerse yourself in the present moment you are bound to tap in the place or regress.
Taking full interest over your life
If you don’t care, who will? All those little things, that we tend not to notice, or that presumably we want someone else to do, are exactly the things we want to pay attention to. Completely.
Ultimate responsibility over your life goals falls back to you, and all the successes and all the failures are yours and yours alone. As long as we look for the gratification outside of ourselves we will find none.
Where I want to be?
My temporary goals are mainly revolving around my financial security, increasing wealth and creating value in terms of increasing my knowledge and grabbing the market by the balls.
Ultimately I want to be free on two fronts:
I don’t want to be confined with a work place and I don’t want to be confined by the constraints of time. My life, my terms, my workplace, any place I want it, and any time I want it.
Where were our parents ?
Perhaps baby boomers (generation of our parents) loved security and stable life that came with steady jobs, 401k’s, health insurance and all that good stuff… But current market reality proved that we don’t share the same guaranteed lifestyle our ancestors had.
We are going through the turbulence, and education, and I mean JUST IN TIME education is becoming the new currency.
My rationale is that the employers of tomorrow won’t ask us what did you do, and how you did it, but instead they will ask us: “how quickly can you adapt to the new market situation” and “how quickly can you learn the new skill-set required to deliver the results”.
Adaptability as the new currency in the marketplace
Our generation can switches jobs like socks, and HR’s of today think that there is something wrong with you if you worked in one place for a longer period of time. This trend is creating highly agile workforce that is capable of contributing value on numerous different fronts.
